Visually Guided Autonomous Grasping by Robot Hand

Demonstration movie of visually guided autonomous grasping by a robot hand, which is used in @home service robot manufacturing practicum. This arm/hand control technique was developed by a 2014 international internship student, Ludovic Hofer from IPB/ENSEIRB-MATMECA, Bordeaux, France.

Demonstration movie of voice recognition, facial recognition and autonomous movement performed by the service robot “EXI@” made by the team, “Hibikino Musashi”. The students of the Graduate School of Life Science and Systems Engineering, Kyushu Institute of Technology, have been largely working on the team preparing for the Robo Cup @Home League.

Demonstration movie of autonomous driving by a small electric vehicle. This is mainly worked by Ogai Laboratory of the Graduate School of Information, Production and Systems, Waseda University.


Soccer Robots of the team “Hibikino Musashi” from the Kitakyushu Science and Research Park in the Robo Cup Middle-size League.

The team “Hibikino Musashi” mainly by the students of the Graduate School of Life Science and Systems Engineering, Kyushu Institute of Technology, has been winning 1st prize for five consecutive years in the Robo Cup Middle-sized League, Japan Open. We plan to utilize this autonomous moving robot technology for the comprehensive practicum conducted in the joint graduate school.

Demonstration movie of the mini-robot, “WITH”, that autonomously moves in the “Robo City” (the miniature town developed in the 21st Century COE Program conducted by the Department of Brain Science and Engineering in the Graduate School of Life Science and Systems Engineering, Kyushu Institute of Technology).
